What are AC-Motors?
There are also a few other differences in our AC motors. In our range you will find AC induction motors, AC shaded pole motors with gears, bidirectional AC synchronous motors and unidirectional AC synchronous motors.
What are the advantages AC-Motors?
Basically, AC motors have a simpler design. This has a few advantages. They are more robust than other motors and generally have a longer service life. Due to the more robust construction, they require less maintenance. Another advantage is the economy. This comes from the lower consumption when starting the engine.
How does an AC-Motor work?
In AC motors, the respective rotor is driven by polarity reversal. The alternating current that is passed through the stator creates a magnetic field whose poles change in time with the alternating current.
